The southeastern state of Florida is known as the "Sunshine State"of the United States of America. Most of the state is a large peninsula with the Gulf of Mexico on its west and the Atlantic Ocean on its east.On March 3, 1845, Florida was recognized as the 27th state of the U.S.A.
 
     
 
There's a lot more to the state than just sunshine as millions of travellers visit here to escape the bleakness of winter and landlocked locations,and for sun, fun, and Mickey Mouse. The promise of the clear skies and 800 miles of sparkling, sandy beaches is alluring, as are the animatronics and roller coasters in Orlando and Tampa, but there's much more to the state than that. In fact, in many ways, Florida is as a beautiful, blond beauty queen whom everyone thinks is all fluff until they find that there is much more here than meets the eye has made this one of the country's most famous year-round vacation destinations.

In Florida you can select from a colourful, often kitschy assortment of accommodations, from deluxe resorts to mom-and-pop motels. You can find remote little towns like Apalachicola or a multicultural megalopolis as Miami. You can enjoy fresh seafood, from amberjack to oysters, and then work off those calories in such outdoor pursuits as bicycling, golfing, or kayaking.The climate of Florida is temperate by its proximity to water. Most of the state possesses a humid subtropical climate, except for the southern tip which borders on tropical and the Florida Keys which possess a true tropical climate.

Florida's important interstate highways contain I-95, which operates north to south along the east coast, I-10, which operates from Jacksonville in the east to the west, and I-75, which accedes the state from Georgia and operates south across Tampa and along the Gulf coast. United States. Highway 1 is a historic and scenic highway which develops in Key West and continues up the east coast.

Florida is famous for its beaches and tourist attractions like Walt Disney World which is an important recreational resort most popular for its theme parks. Florida has a vast growth of typical American chain restaurants. Visit these except in case of extreme hunger; local restaurants will always dish superior food.
